Who would benefit from this group?
Anyone in the region of Halton who has been impacted by stroke and who is looking for social connections and education programming in a peer-supported environment.

Description of the group:
We understand that isolation and loneliness are an overwhelming fact of life for many stroke survivors. This group exists to provide a caring community of peers beyond the hospital doors, to promote socialization and community building, and to let other stroke survivors within Halton know of our existence. In addition to holding the monthly support group meetings, we organize social and educational programs, and an annual summer picnic in July.
